Be Still - A Guided Silent Retreat

Be Still is a guided silent retreat, for both men and women, to help them to connect more deeply to God. It is a wonderful opportunity to cocoon yourself away from the world and wrap yourself in the presence of God. This is a time to be still, be refreshed and listen with your heart.

This retreat will take place at the St Mary's Towers Retreat in Douglas Park NSW and will mostly be a silent retreat. There will be a small section each day to gain some fresh insights, have some teaching and be gently guided to a place of peace.

There will also be opportunities to attend the services in the chapel and a range of sensory and reflective activities to help you unwind, rest in God and focus on Him.

Jordan and Sharnay Harrison will be coordinating and hosting this event. Jordan and Sharnay both have a desire to lead others to a place of hearing and connecting with God.

Each person will have their own private room with an ensuite and all linen is provided. All activities and meals until afternoon tea on Sunday are included in the cost.

This retreat is limited to just 18 people.

So come away, be still and listen with your heart.

Please note, all attendees must be fully vaccinated to attend and be symptom free as the convent is also home to many elderly nuns who live on site. These are government requirements which we must adhere to in order to run our retreat.

Canberra Christian Men's Convention 22

Canberra Men’s Christian Convention 2022 will turn our world upside down by using our weaknesses to show His grace, glory, and power.

Gary Millar will be teaching from 2 Corinthians, showing us the magnificent message that God’s power meets us in our weakness, not in human strength. All the things we might hope will make us okay (being morally good; or physically strong; or serving at church; or intellectually smart) count as nothing. Instead, it is men who trust in Jesus who are radically counted as right with God.

Set aside the day to be challenged by God’s word and Spirit to help us find comfort through affliction, sufficiency through insufficiency, life through death, blessing through suffering, salvation through grief, abundance through poverty, and boasting through hardship! It’s a day out of your routine to reconnect with other men, hear Biblical application specifically for men, and get more spiritually integrated with God’s will.

For more information and to book follow the website link on the left.

The Truth of It Live - Babylon

Babylon is a place. In scripture, it is also a metaphor. It stands for the godless, secular systems of power in this world. Babylon always falls. That is the cycle of history. What shall we do? There is hope.

Join us for a live delivery of The Truth of It with Martyn Iles, with a special focus on the theme of overcoming Babylon – because you can. There will also be opportunities to get involved and a few other surprises on the night. These events normally sell out well in advance, so do not miss out. SpiritEquip Ministries with David Chotka

The Bible is filled with stories

of ordinary people discovering

that God was guiding, communicating His purposes, directing their lives. History speaks of Joan of Arc, and John Wesley and John Paul II. They claimed to be directed by God and they impacted their world for good. But what about us? Can we be guided? And how can we be sure it’s God, and not just us, with a wistful yearning that the awful things we are facing would turn around for good? that are bad would improve? The good news is that God's desire to speak with us is far greater than our desire to hear! It is as if God is shouting.... "HEY! ARE YOU THERE? IT'S ME - GOD!

Join us for a week of Ministry with David Chotka of SpiritEquip Ministries (Canada)

Dr David Chotka is an author, a prayer mobilizer, a frequent media guest (radio, podcasts, and print media), and an ordained pastor for more than 30 years. He is a father to two adult children and one goldendoodle named Jazz. He is the husband of his wonderful wife of 30+ years, Elizabeth. David has his doctorate in Spiritual Discernment from Gordon-Conwell seminary and has led seminars/conferences both nationally and internationally. Dr David is a successful author of 5 books, (2 Amazon best sellers). David has collaborated with various authors (including Rev. Dr Maxie Dunnam). He has created courses, workbooks, interviews and resources to help people everywhere to equip their spirit for a successful walk with Christ.

Dr David believes that all healing has its source in God, and that medicine and miracles intertwine. He is inspired by his daughter's life and sense of humour as she deals with Muscular Dystrophy (MD).

David will be looking at Hearing the voice of Jesus: Hearing the voice for Healing, Evangelism and Divine appointments during the week, with his final message as a part of our morning worship service on Sunday. We encourage everyone to attend.

David will also be sharing at the Men's Breakfast on Saturday morning where he will be speaking on, "Hearing the voice in divine appointments. How to know when God is setting up a circumstance" His wife Elizabeth will be speaking at the Ladies' event "How to be a Bright Gem for His Crown" on Saturday afternoon. (see the men's and women's ministry events for more details).

In the Garden - A Sacred Reflection on Easter

In the lead up to Easter, it is often helpful to slow down and take some time to personally reflect on what Jesus means to you. In the Garden is a reflective, sacred space event, to help you quietly meditate on various aspects of the life, sacrifice, death and resurrecting power of Jesus Christ.

Come and quieten your soul, and allow the depth of the Christ’s love to enter deeply into your heart and mind.
