Alliance Women: Prayer Warrior Bootcamp - Strengthening Your Prayer Life Through the ACTS Prayer

Equipping you to pray with Confidence

Do you struggle with prayer—or feel intimidated praying out loud?

Are you longing to see a stronger, more vibrant prayer culture in our community?

The Prayer Warrior Bootcamp is designed to help you grow in confidence, deepen your relationship with Christ, and develop a bold, consistent prayer life.

This engaging and interactive training offers a fresh approach to the ACTS prayer method—Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication—making prayer simple, approachable, and meaningful.

Why This Training Matters

- Prayer should never feel intimidating or overwhelming.

- Prayer strengthens our connection with Christ and transforms spiritual lives.

- Women who pray boldly are empowered to encourage, mentor, and disciple others.

- Confident prayer is foundational to healthy Titus 2 relationships.

- Praying out loud brings comfort, strength, and hope to those around us.

Many women hesitate to mentor or disciple others simply because they lack confidence in praying aloud. The Prayer Warrior Bootcamp will equip you with practical tools and guided prayer exercises that will help you pray confidently—anywhere, anytime.

Move from uncertainty to confidence and experience the power of a thriving prayer life.

Cost $5 - Pay Cash/EFTPOS on the day.

Be Still - A Guided Silent Retreat - August 2026

Be Still is a guided silent retreat, for both men and women, to help them to connect more deeply to God. It is a wonderful opportunity to cocoon yourself away from the world and wrap yourself in the presence of God. This is a time to be still, be refreshed and listen with your heart.

This retreat will take place at The Abbey, Jamberoo and will mostly be a silent retreat. There will be a small section each day to gain some fresh insights, have some teaching and be gently guided to a place of peace.

There will be activities to help you reflect, unwind, rest in God and focus on Him. There are also some church nearby should you wish to attend a church service.

Helen Betz will be coordinating and hosting this event. Helen is known for her insightful teaching, passion for God and the gentle way she leads others to connect with God.

Each person will have their own private bedroom, with a shared bathroom and all linen is provided. All activities and meals are included in the cost. This retreat is limited to just 15 people.

So come away, be still and listen with your heart.

Alliance Men: Sabbath Retreat

The purpose of the retreat this Saturday is to spend some time in fellowship and, most importantly, some time alone with God.

9am - Meet at the church carpark, and we'll carpool to a bush location in Namadgi National Park

10am - You'll be provided with some Bible readings and reflective questions to consider, pray about, and journal, and we'll spend a short time in prayer together.

10:30am - We'll find somewhere comfortable (all within a short distance of where we'll park the cars) to read the Bible, pray, and reflect. Some of the reflection questions might require you to move around the area where we'll be.

12:00pm - We'll reconvene as a group, and there will be an opportunity for those who'd like to share something they gained from their time with God and their own thoughts.

1:00pm - We'll eat lunch together and then travel back to church

2:00pm (or thereabouts) - back at church and finished.

What Will You Need to Bring?

- lunch (a packed lunch or there will be BBQs in the area, so that gives options)

- a folding chair or a rug to sit on. I have plenty of chairs if you need to borrow one - just ask!

- your bible and a pen, perhaps a notebook if you think that would be helpful to gain your thoughts

- warm clothes (jacket, beanie)

- a hat

If the weather is terrible (anything but rain should be okay for us), we'll consider relocating the event to a place with good shelter.
